2. Description of Services
WoodModqraft is a contemporary furniture brand dedicated to redefining wood and refining spaces through artisanal craftsmanship and modern modification. Our comprehensive services include:
2.1. Custom Wood Furniture Making
We specialize in creating bespoke wooden furniture pieces tailored to your exact specifications and aesthetic preferences. Our process begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your vision, functional requirements, and the unique characteristics of your space. We offer a wide selection of premium, responsibly sourced wood types, including rich Teak, durable Oak, intricate Sheesham, and unique Mango wood. Our artisans meticulously handcraft each piece, ensuring unparalleled structural integrity and a flawless finish. This service covers a broad range of items, including dining tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, kitchen units, and built-in solutions. Clients will be actively involved in the design approval process, including material selection, dimensions, and finish details. Any significant design changes requested after the initial approval may necessitate adjustments to the project timeline and incur additional costs, which will be communicated transparently.
2.2. Furniture Restoration & Upcycling
Our restoration service is dedicated to breathing new life into cherished, aged, or damaged wooden furniture. We meticulously repair structural damage, address pest infestations, fix wobbly joints, and expertly refinish surfaces to restore their original beauty or enhance them with a new aesthetic. Upcycling goes beyond simple restoration; it involves redesigning and repurposing old furniture for modern functionality and style. This can include resizing, restyling, or transforming a piece for an entirely new use, often blending wood with contemporary materials like glass, metal, or marble to create a unique fusion of old and new. Each piece undergoes a thorough assessment, and a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, materials, and expected outcome will be provided for your approval. We aim to preserve the inherent character and history of each piece while giving it a relevant and beautiful future.
2.3. Long-term Care & Maintenance Solutions
Understanding that wood is a living material, we offer comprehensive care and maintenance solutions to ensure the longevity and enduring beauty of your wooden furniture. This includes professional polishing, joint fixing, refinishing, and pest treatment. We also provide bespoke, scheduled care plans tailored to your specific pieces and environmental conditions, which may involve seasonal checkups, deep cleaning, and application of natural oils, sealants, and eco-friendly polishes. Our care solutions are designed to be non-toxic and environmentally conscious, nourishing the wood and protecting it from wear and tear. This service is a testament to our commitment to fostering long-term relationships with our clients and ensuring their investment in quality woodworking is preserved for generations.

Any original designs, concepts, drawings, sketches, or unique elements developed by WoodModqraft during the course of a Custom Wood Furniture Making or Furniture Restoration & Upcycling Project, even if incorporating Client input, shall remain the intellectual property of WoodModqraft unless explicitly transferred to the Client through a separate, written agreement. Upon full payment for a Project, the Client will receive ownership of the physical furniture piece(s). However, WoodModqraft retains the right to use images of the completed project for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, and to adapt underlying design concepts for future projects, provided such adaptation does not result in a direct replication of your unique custom piece for another client without your prior written consent.

5. Order Process and Payment Terms
5.1. Consultation and Quotation
For all custom furniture making, restoration, upcycling, and long-term care services, an initial consultation will be conducted to thoroughly understand your specific requirements, design preferences, and project scope. Following this, WoodModqraft will provide a detailed proposal and quotation. This document will clearly outline the agreed-upon scope of work, estimated costs, proposed materials (including wood types and finishes), and projected timelines for completion. All quotations are valid for a specified period (e.g., 30 days) from the date of issuance. Your acceptance of this quotation, typically signified by a signed agreement, written confirmation (e.g., email), or payment of the initial deposit, constitutes a binding contract between you and WoodModqraft, subject to these Terms.
5.2. Payment Schedule
Payment terms will be explicitly detailed within your Project proposal and subsequent invoices. Customarily, a non-refundable upfront deposit (e.g., 50% of the total project cost) is required to initiate work. This deposit covers initial design conceptualization, material procurement, securing workshop time, and administrative overhead. Subsequent payments may be structured at key project milestones (e.g., upon final design approval, mid-project completion, prior to finishing work) with the remaining balance due upon project completion and before final delivery or installation. All payments must be made in the currency specified in the quotation. We accept various secure payment methods, which will be communicated to you. Failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in project delays or suspension of work.
5.3. Project Changes and Additional Costs
Any significant alterations or additions to the Project scope requested by the Client after the initial agreement has been signed may lead to revisions in the estimated costs and adjustments to the project timeline. Such changes will be documented in a change order, outlining the revised scope, additional costs, and new timelines, which must be approved by the Client in writing before implementation. WoodModqraft reserves the right to charge for additional design time, material costs, and labor incurred due to Client-initiated changes. Delays caused by the Client, including but not limited to delayed approvals, failure to provide necessary information, or late payments, may also result in extended timelines and, in some cases, additional charges for holding materials or workshop space. WoodModqraft will endeavor to communicate any such potential impacts promptly and transparently.
5.4. Taxes, Shipping, and Installation Fees
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in your quotation, all prices quoted are exclusive of applicable taxes (e.g., sales tax, VAT), duties, shipping fees, delivery charges, and installation costs. These additional charges will be itemized on your invoice where applicable and are the sole responsibility of the Client. For large or complex installations, a separate installation agreement and associated fees may apply. International shipping will be quoted separately and is subject to customs duties and import taxes in the destination country, which are the Client's responsibility.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
6.1. Client-Initiated Cancellation
Should a Client wish to cancel a Project after the agreement has been signed and the initial deposit paid, the deposit is generally non-refundable. This policy is in place because the initial deposit covers significant upfront costs incurred by WoodModqraft, including but not limited to design consultation time, conceptualization, material sourcing, and allocation of workshop resources. If cancellation occurs after work has commenced beyond the initial design phase (e.g., material cutting, joinery work), the Client may be liable for payment for all work completed up to the date of cancellation, including the cost of materials purchased and labor expended, even if this amount exceeds the initial deposit. Any remaining balance owed by the Client will be due immediately upon notification of cancellation. We encourage clients to carefully consider their commitment before proceeding with a project.
6.2. WoodModqraft-Initiated Cancellation
WoodModqraft reserves the right to cancel or suspend a Project at its discretion if the Client fails to adhere to the agreed-upon payment schedule, provides consistently inaccurate or misleading information, or engages in behavior deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in breach of these Terms. In such instances, the Client will be liable for all work completed up to the point of cancellation, and any non-refundable deposits will be retained. We will provide written notice of any such cancellation, detailing the reasons for our decision.
6.3. Refunds
Given the bespoke and handcrafted nature of our custom-designed, modified, and restored items, refunds are not typically offered. Each piece is unique and made specifically for the Client, representing a significant investment in specialized time, skill, and unique materials. In exceptional circumstances, and solely at the discretion of WoodModqraft, a partial refund or credit may be considered if the Project has not substantially commenced, or if a significant error is determined to be solely on our part. Any approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 30 business days) following the decision.
7. Disclaimers
7.1. Material Variations
WoodModqraft prides itself on working with natural and reclaimed materials, primarily various types of wood. It is crucial for Clients to understand that wood is an organic material with inherent variations. These include differences in color, grain patterns, knots, mineral streaks, and texture. Reclaimed wood, in particular, may exhibit unique characteristics such as nail holes, saw marks, or natural distressing, which are celebrated as part of its history and charm. These characteristics are not considered defects but are integral to the unique beauty and character of each handcrafted piece. While we strive for accuracy in all representations (e.g., photographs, wood samples), the final product may exhibit slight variations from samples or images due to the natural and unique properties of the materials used. We do not guarantee exact matches to samples or previously completed projects, as each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation.
7.2. Handcrafted Nature
All furniture and design elements produced by WoodModqraft are meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans. This artisanal process means that slight variations in dimensions, finishes, and detailing may occur when compared to mass-produced items. These minor differences are a hallmark of genuine craftsmanship and contribute to the unique character and individuality of each piece. We do not guarantee absolute uniformity across multiple pieces or exact replication of digital renderings, as the human touch is central to our "qraft" philosophy.
7.3. Environmental Factors and Product Care
The longevity, stability, and aesthetic condition of any wooden furniture piece, whether newly crafted, restored, or modified, are significantly influenced by environmental factors. These include, but are not limited to, fluctuations in humidity and temperature, direct exposure to sunlight, proximity to heat sources (e.g., radiators, fireplaces), and general daily wear and tear. Clients are solely responsible for providing an appropriate and stable environment for their furniture and for diligently following all care and maintenance instructions provided by WoodModqraft. Failure to adhere to these guidelines, or exposure to extreme or fluctuating environmental conditions, may lead to issues such as warping, cracking, fading, or other forms of damage, and will void any implicit or explicit warranties regarding the longevity or condition of the piece. WoodModqraft is not responsible for any damage occurring after the furniture has been delivered or after a restoration/upcycling project has been completed, particularly if such damage is attributable to improper care, handling, storage, or adverse environmental conditions.
7.4. Website Information Accuracy
While WoodModqraft endeavors to ensure that all information presented on this Website is correct, accurate, and up-to-date, we do not warrant its completeness or absolute accuracy. Nor do we commit to ensuring that the Website remains continuously available or that the material on the Website is kept perpetually up to date. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WoodModqraft shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Website or Services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose. This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.
In no event shall WoodModqraft's total cumulative liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, including but not limited to negligence, or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the Website or using the Services during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the date of the claim giving rise to such liability. This limitation is cumulative and will not be increased by the existence of more than one incident or claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WoodModqraft, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your (or anyone using your account's) violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation, or your use of the Website or Services. This includes, but is not limited to, any content you submit, post, transmit, or make available through the Website, your connection to the Website, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party. WoodModqraft reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will cooperate with WoodModqraft in asserting any available defenses.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The arbitration shall take place in New York City, New York. The language of the arbitration shall be English. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property rights. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between WoodModqraft and you for any purpose concerning these Terms or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in New York City, New York.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Website or Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Website and Services. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
